At the age of four, Evelina was taught to play the piano by her parents, who are both classical pianists. Music soon became her life. Her beautiful romanticism, special toucher, honest interpretation and wide repertoire, ranging from baroque to modern music - these are all fruits of the strong tradition of Russian schools as well as her studies and work experience in Western Europe. "
"Re is brown" Evelina studied at the Central School for Music at the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory in Moscow with professors Mikhail Voskressensky and Elena Koeznetsova. Previously she received private lessons from Professor Rudolf Kehrer, who had also been her father's teacher. At the age of eleven, Evelina gave her first concert with orchestra, Bach's Concerto no. 4 in A major. At this age she gave her first performance on TV, with works of Liadov, and she made her solo debut playing works of Haydn in the most famous concert hall of Russia - the Great Hall of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory. During her studies she regularly played together with orchestras, including Beethoven's Piano Concerto no. 5, Rachmaninov's Second Piano Concerto, Liszt's First Piano Concerto, Saint-Saens' Second Piano Concerto and Prokofiev's First Piano Concerto.
"Mi" is red" In 1995 Evelina graduated with distinction from the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory in Moscow, where she had studied with Mikhail Woskressensky. In addition, Evelina was one of the select few who were allowed to pursue the two-year postgraduate course. Throughout her entire undergraduate and postgraduate studies Mikhail Woskressensky and his assistant Elena Koeznetsova had a profound influence - Evelina's association with them lasted for more than twelve years.
"Fa" is light yellow" Evelina was pricewinner of the prestigious Rachmaninov Piano Competition in 1990 and she received the incentive prize for the best interpretation of Rachmaninov's Etudes-Tableaux and Preludes. In 1992 Evelina participated at the Third International Liszt Piano Competition in Utrecht. With her original interpretation of Liszt's Sonata in B minor, Rigoletto Paraphrase (by Verdi) and Feux Fellots, she won second prize. She enchanted the entire hall. The audience was touched by her sense of empathy and deep feeling for the music.
"So" is green and my favourite note and colour" In the Netherlands Evelina was introduced to Jan Wijn, one of the members of the jury at the Liszt Competition. Following this meeting, she went to study with him at the Amsterdam Sweelinck Conservatory. As a result, she obtained the Dutch degree of 'Performing Musician'. In order to further develop her mastery she followed the Master classes of Isaac Stern, Earl Wild, John O' Conor and Eugene Indjic.
"La" is dark blue" In 1994 she established herself as an independent pianist in Amsterdam. Since then, Evelina has played over 400 concerts, including the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, the Doelen in Rotterdam, Vredenburg in Utrecht, and other countries such as Italy, Britain, Portugal, Russia and South Africa. She has performed with well-known symphony orchestras conducted by conductors such as Sir Yehudi Menuhin, Jan Stulen, Stewart Robertson, Lev Markiz and Aleksander Wakulsky. In addition, she worked as a teaching assistant at the Sweelinck Conservatory with Valentin Zhuk, Viktor Lieberman, Keiko Wataja, Gregor Horsch and Dmitri Ferschtman. Evelina plays together with violinist Valentin Zhuk, concertmaster of the Dutch Radio Symphony Orchestra. Alongside her international concert career, she has built up a busy practice as a teacher. She is also frequently asked to play with various ensembles and soloists, and to participate at Dutch festivals such as the International Music Festival Soesterberg and the Holland Music Sessions in Bergen. There she worked with, among others, Krebbers, Ozim, Neaman, Schmieder, Fridman, Ferschtman, Zhuk and Pauk.
"Si" is between grey and blue" Ton Hartsuiker, former director and teacher at the Amsterdam Sweelinck Conservatory, described Evelina's playing as follows: "From the moment she became a winner of the International Franz Liszt Competition in Utrecht it was evident: Evelina Vorontsova is a pianist and musician of great stature."
In 1995 Sir Yehudi Menuhin, deeply impressed by her talent, personally invited her for the Menuhin Festival in Moscow. "Being on stage is the most magical moment for me. Passion for music is my child, my whole life echoes in the music."

Evelina continues to broader her career and activities. In May 2006 she won the first awarded prize in the International Concerto Competition for piano (Cantu,Italy). In the following year she went on to win the Virtuosity prize and 2nd prize at International Competition in Padova, Italy.
Next to Evelina’s performing career she has taken a strong interest in pedagogy. Her extensive teaching experience led her to be invited to teach at a master class in Tokyo, 2006.She was then able to combine this with her début in Tokyo. Since 2007 Evelina teaches piano and coaches chamber music every Spring in France for an International master course.

Evelina Vorontsova - een geboren pianiste uit Rusland, of, zoals een muziekcriticus over haar spel zei: "zij is een op aarde neergedaalde engel. Evelina speelt met grote hartstocht en een ontwapenende schoonheid". "Ik zie alle noten in verschillende kleuren.
"Do" is wit" Op 4-jarige leeftijd leerde Evelina pianospelen van haar ouders, beide klassieke pianisten, en muziek werd haar leven. De schitterende romantiek, haar bijzondere toucher, eerlijke interpretatie en brede repertoire - van barok tot modern - heeft zij te danken aan de sterke traditie van de Russische school én aan haar studie en werkervaring in West-Europa.
"Re" is bruin" Evelina studeerde af aan de Centrale School voor Muziek van het Tschaikovsky Staatsconservatorium te Moskou bij de professoren Mikhail Woskressensky en Elena Koeznetsova. Vóór deze opleiding kreeg zij privé les van professor Rudolf Kehrer, die ook de leraar van haar vader was.
Op 11-jarige leeftijd gaf Evelina haar eerste concert met orkest, Bach's Concert nr.4 in A-dur. Op deze leeftijd maakte zij ook haar TV-debuut met werken van Liadov, en haar solo debuut met werken van Haydn in de beroemdste concertzaal van Rusland, de Grote Zaal van het Tschaikovsky conservatorium. Tijdens haar studie speelde zij met orkest, o.a. Beethoven`s pianoconcert nr. 5, Rachmaninov`s 2e pianoconcert, Liszt`s pianoconcert nr. 1, Saint-Saëns' pianoconcert nr. 2 en Prokofiev's pianoconcert nr. 1
"Mi" is rood" In 1993 studeerde Evelina cum laude af aan het Tschaikovsky Staats Conservatorium van Moskou bij Mikhail Woskressensky. Daarnaast behoort Evelina tot de weinigen die de 2-jarige doctoraal studie mocht volgen. Gedurende haar hele studie en doctoraal zijn Mikhail Woskressensky en zijn assistent Elena Koeznetsova van zeer grote invloed geweest, de samenwerking met hen heeft ruim twaalf jaar geduurd.
"Fa' is licht geel" Evelina is prijswinnares van het toonaangevende Rachmaninov Piano Concours en kreeg de aanmoedigingsprijs voor de beste interpretatie van Rachmaninov's Etude-Tableaux en Preludes (1990). In 1992 speelde Evelina op het 3e Internationale Liszt Piano Concours in Utrecht. Met haar originele vertolking van Liszt's Sonate in B mineur, met haar Rigoletto parafrase van Verdi en Liszt's Feux Fellots, won zij de 2e prijs. Zij betoverde de hele zaal, haar inleving en diepe gevoel voor de muziek ontroerde het publiek.
"Sol" is groen Dat is mijn favoriete noot en kleur". In Nederland maakte Evelina kennis met Jan Wijn, één van de jury leden op het Liszt Concours. Deze ontmoeting had tot gevolg dat ze bij hem wilde studeren aan het Sweelinck Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Dit resulteerde in het behalen van de graad Uitvoerend Musicus. Om haar meesterschap verder te ontwikkelen volgde zij masterclasses bij Isaac Stern, Earl Wild, John O`Connor en Eugene Indisch.
"La" is donker blauw" In 1994 vestigde zij zich als zelfstandig pianiste in Amsterdam. Ondertussen heeft Evelina ruim 400 concerten gespeeld, o.a. in het Amsterdamse Concertgebouw, de Doelen, Vredenburg en in landen als Italië, Engeland, Portugal, Rusland en Zuid-Afrika. Zij heeft opgetreden met bekende symfonieorkesten onder leiding van dirigenten als sir Yehudi Menuhin, Jan Stulen, Stewart Robertson, Lev Markiz en Aleksander Wakulsky.
Bij het Sweelinck Conservatorium werkte zij ook als gastdocente met bijvoorbeeld de violisten Valentin Zhuk, Viktor Lieberman, Keiko Wataja en de cellisten Gregor Horsch en Dmitri Ferschman. Evelina speelt samen met violist Valentin Zhuk, concertmeester van het Nederlands Radio Symfonie Orkest.
Naast haar internationale concertcarrière heeft zij een drukke lespraktijk opgebouwd. Ook is zij een veel gevraagd musicienne bij verschillende ensembles, solisten en Nederlandse festivals zoals het Internationale Muziek Festival Soesterberg en het Holland Music Sessions in Bergen. Hier werkte zij samen met onder meer Krebbers, Ozim, Neaman, Schmieder, Fridman, Ferschmann, Zhuk and Pauk.
"Si" is tussen grijs en blauw" Ton Hartsuiker, voormalig directeur en docent aan het Amsterdams Sweelinck conservatorium, beschreef het spel van Evelina als volgt: `Vanaf het moment dat zij prijswinnares werd van het Internationale Frans Liszt Concours in Utrecht werd het duidelijk: Evelina Vorontsova is een pianiste en een musicienne van grote allure`.
Sir Yehudi Menuhin - diep onder de indruk van haar talent - nodigde haar in 1995 persoonlijk uit voor het Menuhin Festival in Moskou.

Evelina is prijswinnaar en finalist in 2006 van het Concorso Internazionale per Pianoforte e Orchestra, Cantu in Italië, dit in twee categorieën: Classical Concerto en Romantic Concert.
In 2006 maakte ze ook haar debuut in Japan (Tokyo), waar ze ook masterclasses gaf. In 2007 was zij prijswinnaar van het Concorso Internazionale di Esecuzione Musicale, Padova in Italië, met de speciale prijs: Primio Virtuosite.
Sinds 2007 geeft Evelina jaarlijks piano- en kamermuziek masterclasses in het het Franse St. Vallerin.
